Brennan has intermediate tolerance to scab. Protein is intermediate and overall breadmaking characteristics are satisfactory. Brennan is broadly adapted to the spring wheat growing areas of North and South Dakota, Minnesota, and Montana. Released in 2009.PVP(94) Title V.

Cromwell-Hard red spring wheat.Medium-tall semi-dwarf with moderately strong straw.Medium maturity, good test weight and protein, good milling and baking qualities. Good resistance to stem rust, moderately resistant to leaf rust. Moderately tolerant to Fusarium head blight.Released by Thunder Seed, Inc. in 2007. License through Thunder Seed, Inc. required for seed production. PVP(94) Title V.

Jenna-A hard red spring wheat bred and developed by AgriPro of Syngenta Seeds, Inc. It has medium-late maturity and very good test weight. It has standard semi-dwarf height and very strong straw strength. It is moderately resistant to the prevalent races of leaf rust. Foliar disease protection is very good. Jenna has intermediate tolerance to scab. Protein is intermediate and overall breadmaking characteristics are satisfactory. Jenna is broadly adapted to the spring wheat growing areas of North and South Dakota, Minnesota, and Montana. Released in 2009.PVP(94) Title V.

SY-Soren- A hard red spring wheat developed by Syngenta Seeds, Inc. It has medium maturity and very good test weight. It is a short semi-dwarf wheat that is slightly taller than Kelby. Straw strength is very good, between Kelby and Kuntz. It is resistant to stem rust and moderately resistant to leaf rust. Protection to foliar diseases has been very good. Sy-Soren contains the Sumai 3 genetic background for Fusarium head blight tolerance and has good scab tolerance. Protein levels have been high, slightly lower than Kelby. Overall breadmaking characteristics are very good. PVP(94) is applied for.

Vantage- A good standing, medium-late maturing hard red spring wheat that can achieve high yield of high test weight and high protein grain. Vantage is resistant to stem rust and moderately susceptible to leaf rust and foliar disease(tan spot and Septoriatritici). Vantage has a moderately susceptible reaction to Fusarium head blight. Quality of Vantage is good based on test weight, protein, and flour SDS sedimentation values (a measure of gluten strength). Developed by WestBred LLC.Released in 2006. PVP(94).

Prosper—A hard red spring wheat variety adapted to eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota. Prosper is intended to provide growers with a very high yielding variety that includes an overall good leaf disease package. It has medium straw strength, semi-dwarf height, with an early to medium-early maturity. Protein is similar or slightly better than Faller with excellent milling and baking properties. Prosper is moderately resistant to scab and resistant to leaf and stem rusts. A joint release from North Dakota and Minnesota in spring 2011.PVP(94) is applied for.

Rollag—A unique combination of highest available resistance to Fusarium head blight(scab) and strong straw. The scab rating for Rollag is equal to Glenn and Brick but Rollag has better yield. Developed at the University of Minnesota, the pedigree of Rollag includes Ada and a scab resistant Canadian line. It is a medium maturity variety with above average protein and test weight. It is comparable to Barlow for yield but has much better straw strength. It is resistant to stem rust, with moderate resistance to leaf rust and moderate resistance to other leaf diseases. Released by the Minnesota Agricultural Experiment Station in 2011. License required for seed production. PVP(94) Title V is contemplated.
